Obituary of Evelyn King, 98

Evelyn A. King, 98, of Bellefonte, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at her home. Born on September 8, 1913, in Valley View, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Arvilla (Houser) Corman. She married Vincent J. King, who preceded her in death on May 2, 2000.
She attended the Benner Township School.
Evelyn was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting.
Evelyn was a lifelong member of the Valley View United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters: Nancy Shultz of Roxbora, NC, Patricia McMurtrie of Bellefonte and her son, Ronald V. King (Lois) of Bellefonte. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Tammy Leathers (Mark), Charles R. King (Kris), Jennifer James (David), Michael Shultz (Bonnie), Melissa Bales-Shultz (Tim), four great grandchildren: Jackie Golas (Ryan), Todd Leathers (Kristin), Tyler James and Bryant James.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother and was the last of her generation.
There will be a public visitation held on Monday, April 30, 2012, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Wetzler Funeral Services Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
Funeral services will immediately follow the viewing at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Bardo officiating.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
