Florabell M. Richardson, 89, of Osceola Mills, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at her home. She was born April, 26, 1920, at Burnt Cabbins, to the late Rev. Ira and Ramie (Jackson) Duvall. On Sept. 9, 1956 she married Rex K. "Chirp" Richardson in Curwensville, he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1995.

She graduated from the Montgomery High School, Montgomery, Pa in 1938. She then graduated from Juniata College, Huntingdon. She was an Elementary school teacher for 30 years in Altoona and Philipsburg Osceola School Districts retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for the Woman's Sunday School Class of the church. She also belonged to the United Methodist Woman of the church and was a member of the board of trustees. She was also a member of Osceola Mills Civic Club, a life member of the Osceola Mills Historical Society, a life member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and served as president for a number of years, a life member of the PA State Retired School Employees, a life member of the Clearfield County Retired School Employees, and Eastern Star Chapter #290-Altoona, PA for over 50 years.

She is survived by five nieces, Ann Campbell, Linda Miller, Nel Stoudt, Gretchen Eardley, and Nedette Otterbein; one nephew, Bruce Eardley; one brother-in-law, Willam A. Eardley, of Altoona; and a very good friend, Dorothy Brumbaugh, of Altoona. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marguerite Bly and Anna Osa Eardley; one brother-in-law, Ned S. Bly.

At the request of Florabell there will be no viewing or funeral service. Burial will be in New Watsontown Cemetery, Watsontown. Memorials may be sent to Osceola Mills United Methodist Church, 303 Curtin Street, Osceola Mills, PA 16666. Arrangements by Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills.
