Frances N. Frazier Neill McMullin, 90, of Pleasant Gap, died Thursday, December 23 2010, surrounded by family at her home.

She was born January 30, 1920 in Haines Township, near Aaronsburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Stover Frazier.

On March 22, 1937 she married Robert J. Neill who preceded her in death on August 14, 1948. She later married Frederick K. McMullin who preceded her in death in January of 1978.

Frances was a 1937 graduate of Gregg Township Vocational High School at Spring Mills, earning the distinction of having been Valedictorian of her class. , In her early years, she assisted on the family farm. She worked in the Food Service Division at the Pennsylvania State University for twenty six years, retiring as a dining hall supervisor.

Mrs. McMullin was a member of Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church, where she was active with various Bible Study Groups and frequently helped with church dinners. She also contributed many hours to the Apple Dumpling fund raisers at the church, where up to five hundred apple dumplings were sold per event. She also enjoyed embroidering.

Surviving her are two daughters, Alice Huckleberry and her husband Earl of Meadville, and Barbara Bower of Aaronsburg; one son, Robert C. Neill and his wife Linda of Lamar; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and five step great great grandchildren; a sister Betty Benner and her husband Richard of Centre Hall; one brother, Charles Frazier and his wife Ethel of Millheim; and a half-sister, Tevola Kathryn Spayd of Salem Hill Haven, Spring Mills.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son in law Larry E. Bower; one sister Phyllis Packer and three brothers, Marshall, William and Kenneth Frazier; and three half sisters and six half brothers.

Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1:00 p. m. Friday, December 31, 2010 at Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church 179 S. Main St., Pleasant Gap, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 1:00 p. m. at the church with pastor Thomas Osif officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the fellowship meal, at Zion Cemetery, Walker Township, PA.
