Obituary of Frederick Bruce Fravel, 82

rederick Bruce Fravel, 82 of Hublersburg passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Fairways at Brookline Village. He was born in Flemington on October 23, 1926 a son of the late Fred F. and Alta Campbell Fravel.

On October 20, 1949, he married Mary E. Wells who passed away on April 25, 2009.

He was a graduate of Lock Haven High School. Bruce was employed at Penn State in the Bursar's Office for 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He was a member and very involved in the Nittany Velley Alliance Church where he was a missionary treasurer, Sunday School Supt., Sunday School Teacher, song leader and served as an elder.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by one daughter; Wanda J. (Joseph) Chicko of Bellefonte; one son; Robert B. of Hublersburg; and two grandchildren; Wesley M. and Rebecca M. Chicko both of Bellefonte.

Funeral services will be at the Nittany Valley Alliance Church, Route 64, Mingoville, at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 with the Rev. David Gouak officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to the time of service at the church on Sunday.
