George Clair Resides of Lamar, PA., formerly of the Jacksonville Road in Bellefonte, passed away Wednesday September, 19, 2012.
He was the son of the late George W. and Ida B. Davidson Resides.
On July 30, 1947 he married Evelyn Immel Resides who survives at home.
George was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ Jacksonville, PA.
George was awarded a plaque for Outstanding Achievement from the Centre County Conservation District in 1974.
He enjoyed horse shoe pitching, hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters; Diane Resides of Baltimore, MD and Doreen Sents of Edgewood, MD, two sons; Lynn Resides (Pauline) of Mill Hall, PA and Bill Resides (Pat) of Danville, PA, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters; Edna “Sally” Adgate of Wilmington, DE and Joanne Miller (Wayne) of Bellefonte, PA, and one brother, Merle Resides (Dora) of York, PA..
George was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda L. Worrick, one grandson, Patrick Resides, three sisters and two brothers.
There will be a public visitation held Sunday, September, 23, 2012, from 6 to 8pm, at the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 24, 2012, at 1pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Kuhns officiating.
Burial will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery in Marion Township.
