Obituary of Gerald Baney , 79

Gerald E. Baney, 79, of Bellefonte passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born September 3, 1935 in Boggs Twp., Centre Co., he was the son of the late John and Goldie Walker Baney. On August 6, 1961, he married the former Helen J. Krape who preceded him in death on December 15, 1994.

He was of the Presbyterian faith. Gerald waa a carpenter for Jack Frost Construction Co. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. He would lend a hand to anyone with a need.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Schreffler of Garrett, Pa.; his sister, Millie Meeker of Zion; two grandchildren, Jerry and Abby and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William, John, Albert and Lee.

Services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 7:30 P.M. with Pastor James Kesler officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.,the time of the service. Burial will be in Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Twp., Centre Co., Pa.
