Obituary of Gilbert L. Rossman, 92

Gilbert L. Rossman, 92, of Bellefonte, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. Born on January 21, 1926, in Coleville, he was the son of the late James A. and Sarah P. (Klinefelter) Rossman. He was married to his beloved wife, Betty Rossman, who survives him at home.

Gilbert worked in the maintenance department at Lock Haven University. He served in the United States Navy during WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons and one daughter.

He is preceded in death by one son.

Gilbert loved woodworking and drawing. He especially loved sitting outside looking at birds and squirrels. You may have seen Gilbert sitting by his garage across from the Weis Store in Bellefonte waving as your passed by.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice for their care for Gilbert.

Friends will be received at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street Bellefonte on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 10-11am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Betty Rossman at PO Box 7 Bellefonte, PA 16823 where they will be forwarded to Hospice and the Veterans Association.
