Obituary of Grace L Harris, 73

Grace L. Harris, 73, formerly of Moshannon, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on October 7, 1936, in Rush Township, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. & Leda Loretta Yeager Borger. Grace was married to Michel Harris who passed away on February 8, 1995.
Grace is a 1954 graduate from Snow Shoe High School. She was a cook for several fraternities at Penn State University before retirement.
Grace was of the Methodist faith and attended the Pine Glen United Methodist Church. She was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows in Port Matilda and a member of the Fraternal Order of Cooks Association. She was a past member of the Snow Shoe Lions Club where she held the office of Secretary.
Grace was the last of her generation.
Grace is survived by her four children, Deborah R Breon of Port Matilda, Stephen E Walker and his wife, Abigail, of Hollidaysburg, Dieatra L Almashie, and her husband, BoBo, of Moshannon, and Dale E Walker and his wife, Kimberly, of New Enterprise. Also surviving Grace are her 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by three brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 1pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe, PA 16874 with Pastor Cathy Dittman officiating. Burial will be private at Askey Cemetery, Snow Shoe Twp.
