Harold H. Spicer, 90, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on May 6, 1927 in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Herman and Willow (Markle) Spicer. He married his beloved wife, Lois Vonada in 1948 and shared 60 years of marriage with her. Lois preceded him in death on March 11, 2008.

Harold worked as a machinist for Cerro for 45 years until retirement.

Harold is survived by two daughters, Karen Antle (Gary) of Kingston, MA, Judy Ripka (Jim) of Pleasant Gap, and one son, Dennis Spicer of Center Hall; four grandchildren, Dustin Antle (Michelle), Brianna Antle Prada (Josh), Brandon Ripka (Kylie), and Kacy Ripka; and six great-grandchildren, Landyn Ripka, Chase Ripka, Taetum Prada, Emmett Prada, Lenna Prada, and Holdan Ripka. Also surviving are two sisters, Delores Richardson and Gladys Brungart.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by three siblings, Pauline Womer, Sheldon Spicer, and Shirley Spicer.

Harold was a life member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. He was known as “Mr. Fix-It” for all of the lawn mowers in Pleasant Gap.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
