Obituary of Harry Eckenroth, 82

Harry William Eckenroth, 82, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, at Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home. Born on August 9, 1929, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late John A. and Sarah M. (Charles) Eckenroth. He married Norma (Dale) Eckenroth who survives at home.
He attended the Bellefonte School System.
Harry worked for Centre Oil and Gas as an oil burner technician.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bellefonte and a life member of the Logan Fire Company of Bellefonte.
Along with his wife he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Grove (Howard) of Bellefonte, two sons: Richard Eckenroth (Linda) of Ridgway, Scott Eckenroth (Cindy) of St. Marys, one sister, Mary Heltman of Clarence and one brother, Thomas A. Eckenroth of State College. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Eckenroth.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 4, 2012, at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 216 N. McAllister Street, Bellefonte, with Pastor LeRoy Reitz officiating.
Burial will follow in St. John Peace Garden.
