Obituary of Helen Louise Gardner , 65

Helen Louise Gardner, 65, of Boalsburg, died Friday, April 27, 2012 at her residence.

Born September 13, 1946, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Susan King Gardner.

She is survived by one daughter, Tara Gardner De La Fuente and her husband, Christopher, of Boalsburg, two brothers, Willis Gardner, Jr., of Petersburg, Robert Gardner and his wife, Doris, of James Creek and one granddaughter, Ava Denise De La Fuente. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Gardner.

Helen was a 1964 graduate of Juniata Valley High School.

She was employed by Penn State University as a staff assistant in the Psychology Department retiring in 2006 after 25 years of service.

She enjoyed antiquing, going to auctions, and shopping.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Faith United Methodist Church, Manor Hill, Alexandria with the Rev. Alan Atchison officiating.

Burial will be in Mooresville Cemetery.
