Obituary of Helen Storms, 63

Helen Jeannette Leightley Storms, passed away at Mount Nittany Medical Center on February 18, 2016. She was 63. Helen was born in Bellefonte on September 1, 1952, the daughter of the late Harold E. and Helen M. Leightley. She was married to Howard “Randy” Storms who died in 2001. She graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1969. Most of her life she worked in Centre County factories, first at Linden Labs, Nittany Piezo Ceramics and 26 years at Blatek near the Nittany Mall.

In addition to her son, Joseph Storms of Bellefonte, she is survived by step-sons, Jon and Jeff Storms and step-daughter, Leigh Storms.
Also, Helen is survived by two sisters, JoAnn Leightley Knupp (Richard) of Bellefonte, and Mary Leightley Jecha (Larry) of Richland, Washington. She leaves behind 7 nephews and 3 nieces.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 10-11am at St. John Lutheran Church at 216 McAllister Street, Bellefonte.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at Spring Creek Presbyterian Cemetery in Lemont.
