Henry M. Narducci, formerly of Erie, Tonawanda, New York, and Orange City, Florida, died January 29 at age 94 at Westminster Woods in Huntingdon, PA. He was born April 25, 1917 in Erie, son of the late Archie L. and Barbara DiSantis Narducci. His family, work, and helping others, especially young people, defined his life. Henry was a 1935 graduate of Academy High School and received Bachelor and Master's degrees from Temple University. In 1947 he accepted a position teaching and coaching at the Old Tech High School. In 1959, he taught, was a guidance counselor, and was Assistant Principal at Technical Memorial High School before becoming Principal of East High School in 1966. From 1970 to 1986 he was Business Manager for the City of Tonawanda school system in New York. He retired to DeBary, Florida in 1986. Still eager to help others, he became a child protective investigator for the Florida Department of Children and Families in Orlando and Deland at age 73. He soon gained recognition as the oldest full-time investigator in the state. His supervisors characterized him as a remarkable role model, compassionate, warm, and an understanding man who eased the trauma for many abused children, soothed family fears, and helped bring stability to troubled homes. He reluctantly retired for the second time at age 88 and moved to State College, PA. Besides helping others, he cherished spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, was a member of the Kiwanis Club, and a dedicated Penn State football fan. He is survived by a daughter Patricia Weaver of Stone Valley, PA, a son Henry Narducci, Jr" and his wife Monica Kralik of Huber Heights, OH; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Rosalie Proscino Narducci who died in 2006; a brother John, and sisters Virginia Vanucci and Helen Mannella, all of Erie; and his sister Rose Narducci of Philadelphia.
