Hugh H. Hurd, 84, of Hollidaysburg Veterans Home passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Holli-daysburg Veterans Home. Hugh was born on October 30, 1930, in LaJose, Clearfield Co., PA. the son of the late Herbert and Dove Barrett Hurd.
Hugh was an assemblyman for Sutton Engineering in Bellefonte. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Hugh is survived by two brothers, Walter Hurd of Sykesville and Glenn Hurd of Milesburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Sara Scrano, JoAnn Radomsky and Eleanor Norris. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Hurd and “Bud” Hurd.
Services will be held at the LaJose Baptist Church in Newburg, Clearfield Co., PA., date and time to be anounced. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in LaJose Cemetery, Newburg, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Newburg Baptist Church P.O. Box 3, LaJose, PA 15753.
