Obituary of Ida Breon, 85

Ida M. Breon, 85, of Bellefonte, passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at her residence. Ida was born Aug. 3, 1929 in Mingoville, the daughter of the late William F. and Anna Fogleman Sproul. She was a baker for 15 years in State College. Ida loved the Lord and was dedicated to her church. She love to bake cakes, gardening and flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Ida was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.

On Sept. 7, 1952, she married Eugene N. Breon, who preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2009. She is survived by two daughters, Della (James) Houser of Cordova, Tenn. and Barbara (Charles) Gingrich of Bellefonte; two sons, David C. (Terri) Breon of Bellefonte and Harry E. (Tawyna) Breon also of Bellefonte; a sister, Caroline Himmelwright of Clintondale; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Samuel Sproul, Harvey Sproul, William Sproul and Mahlon Sproul; and three sisters, Verna Kerstetter, Sara Zerby and Martha Bartley.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes St., Bellefonte, with Pastor Andrew Morgan officiating. Family and Friends will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Township, Centre County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes St., Bellefonte, Pa. 16823 and the American Cancer Society, 123 Sparkes St., State College, Pa. 16801. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg.
