Obituary of Irene Corl, 87

Irene H. Corl, 87, of State College, died Monday, February 20, 2017, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

Born September 1, 1929, in College Township, she was the daughter of the late James O. and Verna Snyder Houtz. On August 30, 1950, she married Harry S. Corl, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Carol Wawrzyniak of Kennett Square and Leann C. Davinroy and her husband, Timothy, of Carlisle; two grandsons, J. B. Wawrzyniak and Zachary Davinroy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Houtz and her sister, Marjorie Corl.

She was a member of the Saint Peter's United Church of Christ.

She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, reading and gardening.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.

An additional visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m., on Monday, February 27, 2017 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 1795 W. College Ave., State College. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church, with the Reverend Carl Campbell officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
