J. William Wilson (Bill), 92 of State College, PA died Monday December 22, 2014 at Brookline at Juniper Village.

Bill was born at home on November 14, 1922 in Harrisburg, PA, the son of the late Samuel A. and Mabel Koomes Wilson. He had two older siblings, Samuel K. Wilson and Marian I. Wilson whom preceded him in death. He married the former Mary Louise Koser on July 17, 1948 who along with a son John William Wilson, Jr. preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter Nancy Wilson Mitchell (Stephen) and grandchildren Lisa Kuritzky Hauswirth (Gregory), Brian Kuritzky and great granddaughter, Ava Hauswirth.

On January 5, 1987, Bill married Dorotha Roth Wilson. She preceded him in death. He is survived by Dot’s brother, Dr. Edward Palmer and her children Preston Roth (Pamela), Thomas Roth, Alice Allen and Ann Walker (Mike) Bill is also survived by step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

A graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg, Bill went on to further his education at Gettysburg College. Those college years were interrupted by WWII and Bill served his country becoming an Army Staff Sergeant with the Signal Company of the 69th Division in Europe. After the War he finished college and graduated in 1948 with a BA in Business Administration and worked for Bethlehem Supply in Hobbs, New Mexico. Moving back to Pennsylvania in 1951, Bill was employed as an auditor for the United States Navy. In 1953, he began working for the Pennsylvania State University and retired in 1984 as the Assistant Vice President for Business. Bill was a member of Phi Gamma Delta, Masons, Pi Lambda Sigma (National Business Fraternity) and the Grace Lutheran Church in State College, PA.

Visitation will be 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. The funeral services will follow at 1:30pm at the funeral home with Rev. P. Stevens Lynn officiating. Interment will be at Centre County Memorial Park.
