Surrounded by his family, Jacque Rossman, 71, of Rebersburg, passed from this life on Sunday, October 27, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. Born on February 17, 1942 in Spring Mills, Jacque is a son of the late Lester L. and Emma C. Zettle Rossman. He attended Penns Valley High School. On October 23, 1961, he married the former Tilelah R. “Pitsy” Vonada, who survives at their home. Jacque proudly served his country from 1961-1966 in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a “jack of all trades”, having worked in construction, as a hydraulic mechanic and later in life he owned his own small engine repair business. Jacque loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Jacque is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline D. Richardson (Bobby) of Spring Mills and Tina L. Rossman (Doug) of Centre Hall; three sons, Melvin L. Rossman (Karen) of Millmont, Billy J. Rossman (Lori) of Spring Mills and Thomas M. Rossman (Nicole) of Aaronsburg; thirteen grandchildren, Jessie Emel (Jesse), Cliff Walizer (Rachael), Andrew Rossman (Makala), Megan Rossman (Dallas), Jaimie, Kodey and Kelsey Rossman, Tyler Quick (Torylynne), Toby Quick, Morgan and Joseph Bortiatynski, and Teegan and Braynson Rossman.

Also surviving are seven great grandchildren; Julian, and Jalen Emel, Emma June Walizer, Nicholas and Issac Rossman and Dustin and Caydence Immel; and siblings, Faye Swartz (Larry), Ruth Shreckengast (Larry), Dorothy Whitehill (Jack) and Hallard Rossman (Jane). Jacque was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Allison Leigh Rossman; three sisters, Sally Emel, Emma Lou Bressler, and Priscilla Hall and two brothers, Lester, Jr. and Dean Rossman.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Faith Alive Fellowship on Rte 45, Spring Mills, followed by the memorial service at 8:00 pm with Rev. Chris Korn officiating. Contributions in memory of Jacque may be given to the American Cancer Society, 123 S. Sparks St., State College, Pa. 16801.
