James Anthony Bruno Jr. 73 of Bellefonte, beloved husband, dad, and pap was called to heaven on Saturday, December 25, 2010 until we meet again. He was born in Bellefonte on January 10, 1937 a son of the late James Anthony Sr. and Eleanor Rose O"Dell Bruno.

On June 22, 1958 he married Ruth Marie Long who survives at home.

He was a graduate of Bellefonte High School. He was employed as a salesman for State College Good Year for many years. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1959 aboard the USS Antietam CV-36 Aircraft Carrier. He was a life member of the Walker Twp. Fire Company.

Jim was selected to be on the 1st Bellefonte Little League All Stars Team in 1949.

He is survived along with his wife by 4 daughters; Debra K Smoyer and husband Alan of Ridgeland, S.C., Kim M. Reese and husband Barry of Bellefonte, Teresa L. Moyer and husband Mike of Centre Hall and Jami A. Yearick and husband Greg of Howard. Two sons; Frederick J. and wife LuAnn of Bellefonte and James A. III of South Carolina, one sister; Eleanor Taurence, three brothers; John, Joseph and Anthony. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister; Rose Young and 4 brothers; Michael, Richard, Frank and Steven. He was also preceded in death by a great grandson; James Bradley Smoyer.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with the Rev. Lisa Schoonmaker officiating. There will be a visitation Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 6 – 8:00 p.m at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Zion Cemetery, Walker Twp. There will be military services at the graveside.
