Obituary of James Decker Sr., 78

James Michael Decker Sr., 78, of Dundalk, MD, formally of Centre Hall, PA, died on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at his residence.

Born October 22, 1937, in Potter Township, PA, he was a son of the late Charles LaRue and Celia Agnes (Delaney) Decker. On March 30, 1963, he married Rosalie (Lepock) Decker who preceded him in death on July 20, 2007.

James served in the United States Military with an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force.

He worked in Sparrows Point, MD on the railroad at Bethlehem Steel.

He enjoyed going to Penns Cave, watching tractor pulls, and camping at the Centre County Grange Fair. He loved John Deere Tractors and Steam Engines.

James is survived by two Children, James Michael Decker Jr. (Evelyn) of Baltimore, MD, Kimberly Ann West, of Dundalk, MD; three brothers, Warren, Charles, and Glenn Decker; four sisters, Mary Decker, Grace Hall, Renna Shetler, Wanda Hockenberry; four grandsons, James Decker III, Mathew Decker, Andrew West III, and Stephen West, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Bonson, Alice Yeager, and Kathryn Cramer.

Friends and Family will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA 16828. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., following the visitation, with Pastor Russell Sauerwein officiating. Interment will take place at the Zion Cemetery with full Military Honors Accorded.
