Obituary of James Henry Stroud, Jr., 54

With his family by his side, James Henry Stroud, Jr., 54, of Millheim, passed from this life on August 30, after battling with cancer. Jim, a son of Alice B. Greene Stroud and the late James Henry Stroud, Sr., was born in Jersey Shore on August 6, 1959. He was a 1977 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. In 1982, Jim married the love of his life, Wendy Kay Feerrar who survives at their home in Millheim.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by five children Corey Keefer (Candy) of Nichols, NY., Buffy Neese (Bill) of Jersey Shore, Scott Stroud (Michelle) of Bellefonte, Jamie Klaue (Nick) of Woodward and Nicole Potter (Mike) of State College. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Jared Ferguson, Nathan & Marissa Neese, Lilly & Collin Keefer, Isaac & Mackenzie Klaue, Mason Stroud, and Landon Potter. Jim is also survived by four siblings Len Stroud (Barb), Vickie Kitchen, Timothy Stroud (Irene), and Genea Marshall.

Jim was employed as a graphic designer with Century 21 Media (Nittany Valley Offset) and self employed through JHStroud Designs. He loved being outdoors indulging in his favorite activities of hiking and photography, as well as spending time with his grandchildren and family. Jim loved the Lord and served him by sharing his passion for playing the drums on several praise teams and serving as a youth leader for many years.

In accordance with Jim's wishes, there will be no public services. Contributions in memory of Jim may be given to The American Cancer Society, 123 S. Sparks Street, State College, Pa. 16801 or to Grane Hospice, 106 Zee Plz, Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648.
