Obituary of James Morrison, 79

James A. Morrison, 79, of Bellefonte, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Centre Crest Nursing Home. Born on August 6, 1936, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late William and Virginia (Cupp) Morrison. He married Jane DeBrasky, who survives at home.

James received his GED while he was in the Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Jim and Joe’s Texaco for 20 years and he then worked for 20 years at the Bellefonte School System. Jim enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons, and also looked forward to his Penn State football Saturdays with his family. He was a veteran who served in the United States Air Force, for his service he received the Good Conduct Medal.

James is survived by two sons; James and his wife Brenda of Bellefonte and Michael and his wife Christine of Bellefonte, and one sister, Leona Debrasky of Bellefonte and three grandchildren; Zachary, Charles and Joseph.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
