Obituary of James N. Shadle, 83

James N. Shadle, 83 of Beech Creek, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Lock Haven Hospital. He was born in Beech Creek Twp. on May 28, 1917. A son of the late Nathan David and Bella Rebecca Young Shadle.

James married Elsie Boob who preceded him in death on November 25, 1997.

Jim was employed with Piper A/C for 33 years. He attended Beech Creek Wesleyan Church. He served his country as a private 1st Class U.S. Army during WWII. Jim was a member of the Beech Creek American Legion, Retiring member of Beech Creek Fire Co., Central District Volunteer Firemans Assoc., Past member of Good Sam's Camping Club. He enjoyed hunting.

Jim is survived by two daughters; Mary R. Packer and husband Ken of Beech Creek and Kathy A. McClincy and husband Dennis of Bellefonte. Three sons; Larry G. and wife Deb, James L. and wife Nancy both of Beech Creek and David E. and wife Cindy of Lock Haven. Numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by close friend; Grace Winkleman of Beech Creek.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard. Funeral services will be Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery with Military Rites at the graveside.
