Obituary of James Sheetz, 81

James C Sheetz, 81, of Lumber City, Reedsville, died on Sunday, May 21,2017. He was born October 4, 1935 in Brown Township to the late John S. and Margaret Ethel (Wagner) Sheetz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sally A. (Huffnaugle) Sheetz, daughter Ethel A. Sheetz, sister Nancy J. Stitt, and a step-grandson.

James is survived by his children Daniel J. Sheetz and his wife, Beth, of Lewistown, Cheryl A. Sheetz of McClure, Douglas C. Sheetz and his wife, Becky, of Reedsville, William S. Sheetz of Lewistown and Debra K. Bickhart and her husband, Michael, of Lumber City. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 5 step great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Ronald L. Sheetz and his wife, Linda, and Monte K. Sheetz and his wife, Sue, all of Yeagertown.

James served in the US Airforce as an Airman. He retired from Standard Steel. He also worked at Beaver Brothers Bakery earlier in life. He was a lifetime member of the Yeagertown Firehouse and the Blue Juniata Beagle Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and being in the outdoors. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren always put a smile on his face.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
