Janet F. Wilson May 8, 1937 -March 20, 2010 Janet F. Wilson, 72, of Port Matilda, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born May 8, 1937, in Altoona, she was a daughter of the late Gerald "Bud" and Clemence Barr Flenner. On March 24, 1956, she married James M. Wilson, who survives at home. She was the secretary for the Patton Township Tax Office and also was the co-owner of Wilson's Boarding Kennel. She was a member of Black Oak United Methodist Church.

Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devout Christian and very active in her church. Janet was affiliated with the March of Dimes in Patton Township. She was also affiliated with the D.A.R., organized the family reunions, was active with the Fresh Air Program, and hosted numerous children from New York City, including Adrian Marin, who has remained a part of the family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, John S. (Kathy Bell) Wilson, of Petersburg; three daughters, Catherine W. Dittman, of Snow Shoe, Annette W.(Roy) Evert, of Julian; and Susan W. Pallo, of Wallaceton; a sister, Marge Carey, of Sterling, Colo. She was also grandmother to 10 grandchildren, Jarod C. Dittman, Alexis J. Morrison, Luke R. Evert, Adam J. Dittman, Mandy R. Evert, Justin J. Wilson, Sean T. Wilson, Arielle C. Pallo, Skyler A. Pallo and Caitlin E. Wilson; and a great-granddaughter, Angela N. Dittman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald S. Flenner; and a grandson, Jarod C. Dittman.

Friends will be received from 6- 9 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg; and from 10-11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at the Black Oak United Methodist Church, Worth Township, Port Matilda. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at the church, with Pastors Catherine W. Dittman and Samuel Reese officiating. Burial will be in Gatesburg Lutheran Cemetery, Ferguson Township.
