Jay Bathgate, 42, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born Dec. 2, 1966, in Bellefonte, he was a son of Jay R. Bathgate and Sharee Burris Bathgate, both surviving at home.

Jay was a 1984 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was a member of the State College Assembly of God. Along with his parents, he is survived by a brother, Tim Bathgate, of Bellefonte.

Services and burial will be private, at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Harry Brotzman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service Inc., Bellefonte.
