Mrs. Jaymie Malone, 59, of Babson Park, Florida, died unexpectedly of acute promyelocytic leukemia Friday, September 20, 2013, at Tampa General Hospital.

Jaymie was born on October 20, 1953 in Bellefonte to Harold and Evelynne Doran, and moved to Lake Wales thirty-seven years ago from Boalsburg. She was a graduate of State College High School and a 1973 graduate of Webber College in Babson Park. She served as the financial secretary for the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales, where her innate organizational abilities were always appreciated. She expressed her love of music through her enthusiastic participation in the Ridge Ringers Handbell Choir and Lake Wales Chorale. She was also a member of the Babson Park Woman’s Club, and a steadfast parishioner of the Babson Park Community Church. She was a devoted wife for thirty-seven years and a beloved mother who lived her life with grace and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jaymie is survived by her husband Ronald Malone, daughter Amanda Maule and husband Eric of Williamsburg, Virginia, her sister Janiene Pigott and husband Andrew of Boalsburg, and her brother Rodger Doran of Easton, Pennsylvania.

A memorial service was held in Lake Wales, Florida on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 p.m., on Friday, September 27, 2013, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery alongside her parents. Memorials of remembrance may be made to Babson Park Community Church P.O. Box 135, Babson Park, FL 33827.
