Obituary of Jean Sherman, 87

Jean A. Sherman, 87 of Nittany passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Susque-View Nursing Home in Lock Haven. She was born October 19, 1925 in Nittany, a daughter of the late Harry and Lenora Nolan Showers. On September 30, 1955 she married Edward Sherman who survives at home.

She was a 1943 graduate of Walker Twp. High School. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son; Zane (Juanita) Sherman of Bellefonte, one daughter; Melissa Nilles of Nittany, six grandchildren; Brianna Bair (Todd) of State College, Brooks Luzier of Lock Haven, Ashley (Lyndsie) Bair of Nittany, Justin (Danielle) Sherman of Castanea, Travis (Kaleen) Sherman of Nittany, Jessica Sherman of Bellefonte, four great-grandchildren; Ashlynn, Carly, Brady Bair of Nittany, and Lainey Sherman of Castanea. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Maxine Zimmerman and Shirley Schrack, one brother; Kermit Showers and one son-in-law; David Nilles.

A memorial service will be held at the Blanchard Church of Christ, Blanchard, Pa. on March 9, 2013 with the Rev. Russell Moldovan officiating.
