Jeannette E. Voigt, 89, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Bellefonte. She was born on October 9, 1924 in Jamaica, Long Island, New York, the daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Jung Murphy.
She was graduate of Jamaica High School and Pace Business School in New York. She was a retired attorney's bookkeeper. She was member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in State College. Jeannette enjoyed needle work, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her husband, Edward H. Voigt of Pleasant Gap. Jeannette is also survived by her son, Donald (Lisa) Voigt of State College and her two daughters; Eileen (Michael) Weishan of Cattarawgus, New York and Carol (James) Thompson of Naples, Florida. She also is survived by one sister, Marilyn Bethel of Cold Spring Harbor, New York and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, Pa.
