Obituary of John Doll , 92

John Doll, 92, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. Born Dec. 10, 1916, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Louis and Lillian Grassmyer Doll. In 1947, he married Charlotte Jean Doll, who preceded him in death on May 19, 2008.

John was a graduate of Franklin High School. He worked as a custodian for Penn State. John is survived by three daughters, Deb Hoy and Darlene Sidwell, both of Bellefonte, and Jackie Hughes, of Mechanicsville; and by a son, Dennis Doll, of Hollidaysburg. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Baney; a son, Harold Doll; two brothers and a sister. John was a lifetime member of the Bellefonte Eagles Aerie #4320.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Schenck's Cemetery in Howard Township. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wetzler Funeral Service Inc., Bellefonte.
