Obituary of John Fullmer Sr., 92

John M. Fullmer, Sr., age 92, of State College, PA, passed from this life into the presence of our Lord on October 29th at Juniper Village at Brookline. Born August 29, 1922 in Williamsport, PA, he was the son of the late Walter E. and Barbara E. Fullmer.

John was a proud World War II veteran, having served in the Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945. On April 15, 1948, he married Dorothy E. Shay, who preceded him in death on December 25, 2009. He retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and was a life member of the State College Masonic Lodge No. 700 and the State College Elks Lodge No. 1600.

He is survived by his daughter Nancy (Daryl) Johnson of State College, and a son John (Sue) of York, PA. He was “Pap” to four grandchildren and lovingly known as “Pap Fullmer” to nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Donald of Muncy, PA. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Thelma Fullmer and Eleanor Pfaff, and one brother, Walter Fullmer, II.

Private graveyard services will be held at the convenience of the family. Many Thanks are expressed by the family to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Wynwood House, Mount Nittany Physician’s Group and Medical Center, and Juniper Village at Brookline.
