John (Jack) Petuck, 90, of Bel-Aire Hills, Bellefonte passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018 at Lenox Hill Hospital, Park Avenue, NY. He was born November 20, 1927 to John and Gertrude Petuck. He was a lifelong member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte. He graduated Osceola Mills High School and Lock Haven State Teachers College. He began his teaching career at a one-room schoolhouse at the Gravel Point Academy and later taught at Bald Eagle High School. He was an avid baseball player and was a pitcher in the Philadelphia Phillies farm system. Jack also played football growing up and enjoyed golf and tennis. For the past 40 years he owned and operated New Horizons Real Estate Company.

Jack was in the US Army and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany during the Korean War where he was also the captain of the baseball team and coach of the boxing team.

Jack is survived by his wife Jane of nearly 60 years and their two sons Steve and wife Stacy of Greenwich, CT and Jason and wife Barbara of St. Gallen Switzerland, a sister Louise Tocimak and brother in law Andy Tocimak of Osceola Mills, PA and four grandchildren Sarah and Leigha of Greenwich, CT and Maximilian and Kilian of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte on Friday March 2, 2018 with visitation at 10:00 followed by the service with CLP Elder Candace Dannaker officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church on Spring Street in Bellefonte, PA. Burial will be in Schencks Cemetery in Howard, PA. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
