Obituary of John Zelenky, 81

John J. Zelenky , 81, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born September 9, 1935 in Grassflat he was the son of John J. Zelenky and Mary Brnik Zelenky. John was married to Nancy Hoover who preceded him in death in 2003.

John was the owner-operater of John’s Institutional Laundry and Cleaners and John’s Big and Tall Shop. John was a 1953 graduate of Cooper Township High School. He served in the United States Army.

John is survived by four children; John Zelenky (Bobbie) of New Bloomfield, Nancy Zelenky of Bellefonte, Carol Zelenky of Bellefonte and James Zelenky (Vonnie) of Bellefonte. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jeremy, John, Mary and Paul, and two great-grandchildren, Gretchen and Sadie .

In addition to his wife he was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline Ponish, Alice Selepak and two brothers Joseph and Robert Zelenky.
There will be a public visitation on Monday January 2,2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM. and a Christian Wake Service at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. , 206 North Spring Street, Bellefonte.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held January 3, 2016, at 9:00 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bellefonte with Father George Jakopac officiating.
