Joseph T. Watson, 79, of rural Bellefonte passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 18, 2012. He was born August 8, 1933 in Snow Shoe Twp., Centre Co. the son of late Marlin and Anna Preboskey Watson. His first wife, the former Jaclyn R. Russell Watson preceded him in death December 26, 1978. He is survived by his second wife the former Darla Lucas MacMillan at home. He was a heavy equipment operator for the coal industry. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Valley Community United Methodist Church. Joe was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Joe enjoyed photography, gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with the family, especially down at the Fetzer farm. He is survived by one son, John E. (Shelley) Watson of Bellefonte; two sisters; Carol (Harold) Fetzer of Howard and Jean Bosak of New Brunswick, Ohio; one brother, Clair Watson of Snow Shoe. He also was survived by two grandchildren; Jaclyn D. (Justin) Ondik and Haley Fawn Watson one great grandchild; Ava Kimberly Ondik. Joe is also survived by two step-daughters; Deb (John) Soltis of rural Bellefonte and Susan Meyers of Darlington, S. C. Also surviving are one step granddaughter, Jessica Ashcraft of South Carolina and two step grandsons, Robert (Taten) Soltis of Pittsburgh and Jerod Meyers of Georgia. In addition to his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Viehdorfer and one brother, Robert H. Watson. Services will be announced at a later date.
