Obituary of Judy A Mewhorter, 51

Judy A. Mewhorter, 51, of Centre Hall, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. Born on June 8, 1967, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of David A and Donna J (Bailey) Meyer of Centre Hall.

Judy was a 1985 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She furthered her education by earning her Bachelor of Science from IUP and her Master’s Degree from NOVA in Florida. She was a Speech Therapist at various schools and nursing homes.

Judy was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed riding bicycles, going to walks on the beach, and being with family. She loved to go camping on the beach, Virginia Beach was her favorite. Judy loved all animals, especially her dog, Champ. Her favorite thing to do was cheering for her boys to all their sporting events. She was very proud of her two sons.

Judy is survived by her parents, her two sons; Bradley V. Mewhorter and Michael V. Mewhorter, both of Charleston, SC, and three sisters; Wendy S. Barnyak and her husband, Travis, of Pleasant Gap, Tammy J. Beckelheimer of Danville, and Kathy Brooks and her husband, George, of Snow Shoe.

Also surviving are her nieces and nephews; Justin Barnyak, Jessica Barnyak, Jeffrey Barnyak, Amanda Brooks, and Jon Brooks.
Judy was preceded in death by her niece, Brandi Beckelheimer on May 22, 2018.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 10am until 12noon at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall. Graveside services will follow at the Houserville Cemetery with Pastor Tim Yates officiating.
