Obituary of Judy Byerly , 71

Judy Byerly, 71, of Bellefonte, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Centre Crest. Judy was born May 26, 1944, in Norristown, the daughter of the late Edith Wood.

Judy had worked at Woolrich Company in Howard; she had also worked at Charlene Kinser Design and at Weis Market in Bellefonte. Judy loved to sew, she also enjoyed working in her flower garden, and had a great love for her cats and dogs. She was of the Protestant Faith.

On August 25, 1961, she married Donald G. Byerly who survives at home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Brenda Lynn Knauff, of Bellefonte; one son, Thomas G. Byerly, of Fredericksburg, Va.; one sister, Sandy (Neil) Schwoyer, of Greenlane; four brothers, Henry Schosser, of North Carolina, Jerry Leister and Calvin Leister, both of Boyertown, and Barry Leister; and two grandchildren, Kasey Knauff and Kylie Knauff. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald K. Byerly; three brothers, Robert Haines, John Leister and George Leister; and one sister, Betty Leister.

Services will be held at Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg on Saturday August 8, 2015, at 2:00 p. m. with Pastor Stephen R. Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Township, Centre County.
