Obituary of Kathleen C. McLean , 98

Kathleen C. McLean, 98, of State College, died Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Brookline The Terrace in State College, PA.

Born July 27, 1914, in New Market, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Joanna Shelley Cram. On August 3, 1963 she married Daniel C. McLean, who preceded her in death on May 22, 2007.

She is survived by four grandchildren, Karin E. Brown, Wilhelm J. Kogelmann IV, Heather K. Fernsler, Mark D. Kogelmann and six great grandchildren, Cassandra J. and Carly A. Cooper, Wilhelm J., V and Andrew J. Kogelmann, Frederick S. and Vienna B. Fernsler. She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Jean Ruth on October 1, 2007 and sister’s Elizabeth, Margaret, Joanna and brother Donald. She was a 1932 graduate of Brattleboro Union High School in Vermont. She was employed at Daycroft School in Greenwich, Connecticut, a coeducational private boarding school where she was a teacher and house mother.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
