Kathy Sue Whitehill went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 26, 2015 leaving a large hole within her family. Kathy was born on December 6, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico to Jack D. Whitehill and Nancy Billett Whitehill.

Afflicted with cerebral palsy, Kathy lived for many years in Johnstown, PA in an independent living environment under the direction of Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy and moved to Hearthside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in State College in 2013 to be closer to her family. With a strong spirit, a memory to be envied and a love of socializing, Kathy was a life-long example of perseverance and inspiration to those who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Martin DeLong, Kathy is survived by siblings Deborah DeLong, Monte Whitehill, Jacqueline (Wayne) Huebner, Lew Whitehill, David (Cindy) Whitehill, Sheryl (John Thomas) Kimport, Thomas Hockenberry (Lois McKean), Corinna Anskis (Jason Lucas), and Jeanne Lusk as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home in Milesburg. Kathy will be interred alongside her Mother at Meyer Cemetery in Buffalo Run. A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Hearthside and Kathy’s long-time Johnstown residence on McMillan Street.
