Obituary of Keith Crawford Udine "Bo" , 80

Keith "Bo" Crawford Udine, 80, of State College, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born April 29, 1929, in Great Falls, Montana, he was a son of the late Edgar John and Margot Crawford Udine. On Dec. 27,1951, he married Jean Alexander, who survives.

He was a 1946 graduate of State College High School. In 1950, he received a B.S. from Penn State in animal science. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1950 to1953. In 1955, he received his master's degree from Penn State in animal science. He worked as a sales representative in animal nutrition for Duphar Nutrition, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the State College American Legion #245, the State College Elks Lodge 1600, and the Wood Lot Owners. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Maude.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Susan Udine Saunders and her husband, Thomas, of Doylestown, and Melissa Udine Williams and her husband, Thomas, of Centre Hall; a sister, Marcia Udine Day, of Hinsdale, Il.; and five grandchildren, Thomas John "Bo" III, Margot Marie and Keith Udine Saunders, and James Keith "Jake" and Alexandra "Allie" Elizabeth Williams.

His visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at the funeral homek, with the Rev. Edwin Zeiders officiating. Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
