Kenneth Jay Adams, 52, of Boalsburg, died on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born on August 19, 1957 in Charleroi to James K. and Donna Bond Adams. He married the former Beth Schmitt.

Ken graduated from Bentleyville High School in 1975 where he lettered in basketball and baseball. He was an avid reader and a spelling champion and was the salutatorian of his class. He attended Carnegie Mellon University and graduated from Robert Morris College in 1980 with a degree in Accounting and Finance. He was the director of finance at First Quality Enterprises, McElhattan and previously worked for Price Waterhouse in Pittsburgh, Seoul, Korea, and N.Y. as staff accountant and manager, and the North American Watch Company in N.J. as controller and chief financial officer.

He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church. Ken was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching his children participate. He also enjoyed traveling and visited many countries around the world. He was a music enthusiast and enjoyed playing the clarinet. He was also an accomplished investor and served as a financial advisor to many people.

He is survived by his wife, Beth; six children, Andrew, Nora, Kyle, Christopher, Daniel and Sean, at home; his mother, Donna Adams, of Belle Vernon; and two brothers, Kirk Adams and his wife, Noreen, of Mt. Lebanon and Keith Adams, of Library.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, from 1-4 p.m and from 6-8 p.m., at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. The funeral mass will be on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with the Reverend Charles Ugo officiating. Burial will be at the Boalsburg Cemetery.
