Obituary of Kenneth W Baird Jr., 78

Kenneth W Baird Jr., 78, of Bellefonte passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born on January 9th, 1941 in Bellefonte. A son of the late Kenneth W. Sr. and Edith Glasgow Baird. Ken was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and was a road foreman for Spring Township, retiring after 45 years of service. On March 6, 1993, he was united in marriage to Molly McDonald. She survives at home.

Ken was an avid hunter and enjoyed riding his motorcycle as well as playing the lottery. Along with his wife he is survived by his two daughters, Tracey (Devin Whitman) Baird of Centre Hall and Kathy Jo (Rick) Carra of Bellefonte. A brother, David Baird and three sisters, Phyllis Hoover, Lois Baird, and Janet Fravel. Two Granddaughters, Erin and Elizabeth, both of Centre Hall. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Baird.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 31st, at 11:00am at Kader Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard with Pastor Mitch Smith officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Zion Cemetary, Walker Township.
