Obituary of Larry Peters , 65

Larry T. Peters, 65, of Pleasant Gap passed away at his residence on Monday, December 22, 2014. He was born on November 21, 1949 in Bellefonte, the son of the late Walter and Bertie Lou Rhoades Peters.

He served in the Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. Larry was a Lab. Technician at Restek. He was an avid Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan. He was a member of the Bellefonte VFW Post 1600 and was Commander for two years of the Milesburg American Legion Post 893 and also served four years as president.

He is survived by his long time companion, Mary Kerstetter. Also surviving are his two sons, Walter (Hope) Peters of Bellefonte and Christopher (Lana) Peters of Pleasant Gap; two brothers, Walter Peters of Runville and Steven Peters of Wingate, and his grandchildren, Andrew Peters and Katharine Peters. Also surviving are his two dogs, Lassie and Lucy.

Funeral services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg, Pa.
