Obituary of Leela Venkatachalam, 48

Leela Venkatachalam, 48, of State College, died Monday, March 26, 2018, at home.

Born November 22, 1969, in Coimbatore, India, she was the daughter of the late C. P. Somasundarum and S. Sivakami, who survives. On July 5, 1996, she married Venkatachalam Mani.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two children, Hari Venkatachalam, of Tampa, FL, and Geetha Rathnamala, of New York, NY, and a brother, A.S. Venkatachalam and his wife, Rajalakshimi, of Coimbatore, India.

Leela attended Madurai Kamaraj University in India for two years. She worked as a Sales Associate for Wegmans, and later for Macy's Department Store. Her interests were cooking, music, cinema, and her family.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 1 pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA 16801.

A Committal Service will be held at 2pm, following the visitation.
