Obituary of Leroy L Johns Jr., 70

Leroy Leonard Johns Jr., 70 of Howard, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach, Fla. He was born in Brookville on October 30, 1944, a son of the late Leroy Leonard & Ruby Mottern Johns.

He married Linda Lee Gates on July 7, 1967 she survives at home.

Leroy was a corrections officer with the state of Florida.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed fishing, watching football and baseball.

He is survived by four daughters; Julie I (Warren) Wolf of Vero Beach, Fl., Kimarie (Jerry) Reitz of Bellefonte, Sandra E. Johns of Tallahasee, Fl., and Tina Breon (Tony) Witherite of Fleming, two sons; Barry E. (Sue) Johns of Lamar, Chalmar (Junko) Breon of Vero Beach, Fl., one sister; Linda (Grayson) Heard of McMurray, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Patricia Johns Knapp & Laurel Brocious Hensley, and a sister-in-law; Alice Witherite.
