Obituary of Lila J. Glasgow, 79

Surrounded by her loving family, Lila J. Glasgow, 79, of Millheim, went to be with her Lord on June 30, 2013. Born on February 8, 2013 in Coburn, Lila was a daughter of the late Homer and Genevieve Boob Keen. She attended Penns Valley Area High School until Dec. 14, 1951, when she married John Glasgow, Sr., who survives at their home. Lila was the mother of four children, three of whom survive her; John Glasgow, Jr. (Jackie) of Spring Mills, the late Fawne Daugherty of Red Lion, Robert J. Glasgow (Tish) of N. Augusta, SC and Tami Stover of Hartsville, SC. Also surviving are two sisters, Nanette Immel of Aaronsburg and Doris Bittner (Bill) of Bellefonte; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Lila was a member of Faith Alive Fellowship in Spring Mills. She had a true heart for her family and friends; always striving to make each house she moved into a true home. Lila enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking and cleaning. She loved to spend time with family and friends always putting others ahead of herself.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Faith Alive Fellowship in Spring Mills, followed by the funeral service with Pastor Chris Korn officiating. Lila will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim. Contributions in her memory may be given to Faith Alive Fellowship, 4394 Penns Valley Road, Spring Mills, Pa. 16875.
