Obituary of Lillian Greene "Bobbie Root" , 81

Lillian "Bobbie Root" Greene, 81, of Milesburg, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at her home. She was born Nov. 7, 1927 in Birmingham, Pa. to the late Carl D. and Margaret S. Stewart Root.

She was a 1947 graduate of Warriors Mark Franklin High School. She was a Methodist. She worked at Greene's Garden Center in Milesburg. She is survived by one daughter, Lori A. Green (Ross Litz), of Milesburg; two sons, Daniel S. Greene (Regina Gillette), of Runville and Randy J. Greene (Janis Stevens), of Milesburg; one sister, Miriam Confer, of State College; one brother, Dewey Root, of Fellsmere, Fla.; four grandchildren, Alexis Chantal (Kamal), of Virginia, Jamie Hayward (Kevin), of West Decatur, Hillary Greene, of Dunmore and Chad Davidson, of Milesburg; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Bierly, Olivia Chantal and Hunter Davidson. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Caroline Schamris, Ellen Sims, Debra Mae Dixon, and Margaret Miles; and one brother, Carl Root.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg, with Pastor William T. Smith officiating. Friends will be received Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 from 7-9 p.m., at Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg. Burial will be in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
