Obituary of Lynda Corl , 52

Lynda M. Corl, 52, of Bellefonte died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.

She was born November 26, 1962, in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Suzanne Schaffer Corl Conklin and Theodore E. Corl who survives in Pine Grove Mills.

After graduating from high school, Lynda worked with Strawberry Fields, Skills and Arc of Centre County.

Early in life she enjoyed traveling. A very social person, she loved being with people, talking on the phone and singing “Happy Birthday” to anyone she met who was having a birthday, listening to Country music, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. As a child and as a younger adult she was an avid and accomplished swimmer.

Ms. Corl had earned the distinction of Resident of the Month at Centre Crest.

In addition to her father, she is survived by one brother Kent Corl and his wife Cindy of Bellefonte; a niece Jessica, and a nephew K. C. Corl

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a brother Scott Corl and her step father Calvin Conklin.

Friends will be received from 10:00 to noon on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service P. C. 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home with The Reverend William E. Osman officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
