Obituary of Margaret Jessop, 91

Margaret Anne Jessop, 91, of Boalsburg, passed away September 18, 2015. Her family was with her as she gently slipped into the hands of our Lord.

Marg was born in Sandy Ridge, August 15, 1924. She was the daughter of the late William and Veda Miller.

Marg was united in marriage to Ralph Jessop in 1946. In 1948 they moved to Boalsburg where they raised their family and spent the remainder of their lives.

Marg is survived by two daughters; Georgia Fink (Don), State College and Bonnie Reppert (Hiram) of Ohio. She is also survived by a son, Jack Jessop-Ellis (Mark), CA.

She is survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a sister, Jane Shuey of Bellefonte and one sister-in-law Dolores Miller of S. Venice FL.

Marg is predeceased by her husband, Ralph, daughter Cassandra Metzger, grandson Dirksen Metzger, sister Gertrude Calderwood, brothers Robert Miller, Dick Miller, and William Miller.

Marg was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church for the past 68 years. She was also a member of the Boalsburg Garden Club.

Marg retired from her job as a school crossing guard of 30 years at the age of 84. She also was well known for the beautiful wedding cakes she made. She retired from making wedding cakes at the age of 84.

Marg will be missed by the many people she touched during her life. Her house and heart were always open to her family and friends.

Memorial service will take place at Zion Lutheran Church, 305 N Church St, Boalsburg, on Saturday September 26, 2015, at 11:00 AM, under the direction of Pastor Brent Book.

Burial will take place at the Boalsburg Cemetery directly following the memorial service.
