Obituary of Margaret M. Mehalick , 90

Margaret Marie Deibler Mehalick, 90, of Boalsburg, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born August 2, 1923, in Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Verna Maud Weaver Deibler. On November 8, 1944, in Boalsburg, she married Joseph Mehalick, who preceded her in death on February 11, 1996. She is survived by three daughters, Ann M. Hoffman and her husband, Robert, of State College, Nancy Weaver and her husband, John, of Rebersburg, Grace Mehalick of State College; two sons, Charles “Butch” Mehalick of Boalsburg, Joseph “Ed” Mehalick and his wife, Melody, of Boalsburg; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and David Mehalick; all nine of her siblings, George, John, Harry and Albert Deibler, Elsie Deibler Harpster, Helen Deibler Campbell, Jenny Deibler Hoffman, Anne Deibler Frank and Rachel Deibler. Margaret was an active life member of the Fairbrook United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Nittany Antique Association of Centre Hall and the Centre County PA Voter Registration Board. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Reverend Gene W. McCallips officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Nittany Medical Center, 1800 East Park Avenue, State College, PA 16803.
