Margaret T. “Grammy” Shaw passed peacefully from the arms of her family to her Lord on January 24, 2010. Born on September 7, 1921, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Almashie Tyner.

She was married to the late William B Shaw of Snow Shoe who died on March 12, 1945. She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church of Clarence, with a devout belief in the Eastern Catholic faith.

Maggie attended the Clarence School and graduated from the Snow Shoe High School in 1940. After various places of employment, she worked for the Pennsylvania State University as a supervisor in Housing and Food Services, retiring on April 1, 1984. Residing in Bellefonte for over 40 years, Maggie had established many friendships and will be missed by all those that knew her.

Maggie is survived by her son, William B. Shaw (Mona Lisa) of State College, four sisters; Polly Cella of Pleasant Gap, Mary Casher and Eleanor Durachko both of Clarence, Elsie Rusnak of Snow Shoe, and one sister in-law, Helen Tyner of Reading.
Also surviving are three grandchildren; William B Shaw III of Arlington VA, Karen Campbell (Chris) of State College, and Andrea Stansberry (Porter) of Cockeysville, MD, and three great grandchildren; Margaret “Maggie” & Harper Campbell and Traveler Stansberry.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Verna Scholl and two brothers; Andrew and George.

At Maggie’s request, there will not be a public visitation. All funeral and burial services will be private and at the discretion of her family.
